The Northeast Tennessee Multiple Myeloma Support Group

As the COVID-19 respiratory virus spreads around the world, the International Myeloma Foundation (IMF) continues to be here for you. The IMF takes the health and safety of myeloma patients seriously. To contain the spread of the virus, we recommend cancelling in-person support group meetings.

The IMF has offered to support group leaders the technology and instruction to host virtual meetings using GoToMeeting. Please contact your support group leader for specific details regarding your meeting.

Welcome to our North East Tennessee Multiple Myeloma Support Group. All those who are affected directly by Multiple Myeloma or who have a friend or family member who is, are invited to join us. This is a rare cancer and it can be very helpful to join with others to: gain support, remove isolation, share stories, discuss care, and find treatments. We can be assured that when armed with support, proper knowledge, good medical assistance, and the advantages of new findings, you have an excellent chance of a good quality of life for many years.

Our Mission Statement:

To build a social and emotional support network for patients with Multiple Myeloma, as well as their friends and family, and to share medical information.

Our group meets on the 1st Saturday of each month from 12:00 - 2:00 PM in the Activities Room at the Memorial Park Community Center, 510 Bert Street, Johnson City, TN 37601. To get information and register call 423-915-5200. Refreshments are usually provided.
